Public Image Ltd Austin Concert reviews
The Superb Sound of Motown
The concert was a little over an hour and a half long and it was non-stop and packed with great talent, fun, and entertainment. The Public Image Ltd rang through the theater, the Motown Sound was back! Twenty performers on stage! The members, Otis Williams, Bruce WIlliamson, Joe Herndon, Ron Tyson, and Terry Weeks each contributed with great vocals and entertaining. Williams was having a great time on stage and Tyson, who has been with the group for 28 years, led a lot of the talking and introductions. Tyson, Weeks, and Williamson each performed superb solos. The sellout crowd got their money's worth! The concert was fun and very entertaining with a lot of interaction between the audience and the Temptations themselves. At $50 per ticket for front row balcony seats, this was, without doubt, one of the best entertainment bargains around. An excellent evening of great Public Image Ltd music. Superbly backed by 15 musicians playing the following instruments: five saxophones, three trumpets, two trombones, two keyboards, guitar, bass guitar, and drums. The trade mark choreography was there, a bit slower, but very enjoyable to see. One hit after another, the original sound of the Temptations rang through the theater.
